Nature Says When has no accounts, advertising trackers, analytics cookies, fingerprinting, session replay, cross-site profiling, advertising, or sale of personal information.
Location and plan inputs
Location search begins only when you submit it. Browser location is requested only after a separate notice and your choice to continue. Coordinates, activity, time, duration, usable hours, and sensitivity choices are processed for the current request and are not kept in a server-side personal history. Exact location is remembered only if a future control explicitly asks and you consent; V1 does not offer that control.
Choices saved on this device
Activity, duration, usable hours, and range may be saved in this browser. Nature Says Where also saves today’s completed rounds and first official score so a game can be resumed without an account. Game pins are not saved. Sensitivity choices are saved only if you separately opt in. Recent-place history stores public locality choices only—not addresses, ZIP-only points, parks, or exact device coordinates. You can clear these items at any time.

Share links place an encrypted, authenticated plan token after the URL’s # character, so it is not sent in ordinary HTTP requests. Tokens exclude sensitivities and device state, expire within 14 days or when the planned date passes, and recompute current conditions when opened. Sharing exact coordinates requires a warning and confirmation. Anyone who receives a link may still copy it, so share it deliberately.
Environmental sensitivities
Optional air, UV, heat, and cold choices are treated as sensitive. They are not sent to environmental or search providers, analytics, share tokens, or ordinary logs. They are saved only on your device after separate opt-in.
Measurement and abuse prevention
Cloudflare Web Analytics and webmaster tools provide aggregate site and search information. First-party event records exclude locality, coordinates, search text, full URL, exact planned time, and individual sensitivity choices. Raw first-party events are kept for 30 days; daily aggregates are kept for 13 months, and reporting suppresses cells smaller than 20. Rotating anonymous rate-limit keys derived from network addresses are used only for security and expire with short abuse-prevention windows. Cloudflare may process limited network metadata to deliver and protect the service.
