FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Emery County in central Utah... North Central Wayne County in southern Utah... * Until 530 PM MDT. * At 435 PM MDT, State Park personnel reported flash flooding in Little Wildhorse Canyon from earlier thunderstorms. These storms produced heavy rain across portions of the San Rafael Swell including Goblin Valley, Little Wildhorse, Crack, Chute, Ding, Dang, Muddy Creek and all slot canyons and dry washes in and near southern Emery and north central Wayne County. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. This is an extension of the prior Flash Flood Warning for this area. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...State Park personnel reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot canyons, and normally dry washes. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... portions of the San Rafael Swell including Goblin Valley, Little Wildhorse, Crack, Chute, Ding, Dang, Muddy Creek and all slot canyons and dry washes in and near southern Emery and north central Wayne County.
